The Gospel is a Source which Never Dries Up

Contemplative in the Mud

We must live faithfully by the Gospel, make our lives really conform to it. We may have thought we had already learnt to live by it; we have have thought we had already put it into practice, incorporated it into our lives as human beings. But, now, contact with the world around us, with harsh reality, with so much that is happening, shows us, on the contrary, that we have almost to begin all over again. Why is this? Because the Gospel is a source which never dries up. And since the world passes and changes, the relationship between the Gospel and the world, the Gospel and experience, the Gospel and the soul of each one of us, must be constantly renewed.
Blessed Pope Paul VI
